It’s a Dog’s Life

It is so nice to go for a walk with a group of well behaved dogs that have the social skills to cope with most situations. It is a responsibility to be in public with any dog and teaching your dog these skills is vital.

The Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme is a good way to teach these skills, at Homeward Hounds we run Bronze, Silver and Gold which are assessed by an outside independent person.

If your dog has any social issues David holds one to one behaviour consultations where he helps owners find practical solutions to the problems their dogs are experiencing and transfers handling skills to the owner. Not all dogs are suited to class environments and these consultations are a great way to get individual advice and bespoke methods for the needs of your dog.
